Departing Employees: When Do Investigations Become Necessary?

From indicators that investigations are going to become litigious to practical steps to prepare for that litigation, they discuss the evolution of employee investigations and the growing role of mobile devices.

“The mobile device has become a treasure trove of information: text messages, pictures, even geolocation information allowing you to see whether the employee was where they said they were,” says Yaniv Schiff about the evolution of employee departure investigations.

“Every departure does not merit a full investigation, but you can’t afford to miss the ones that do,” warns Curtis Collette.
