As QDiscovery’s CEO, Dave drives the company’s strategic vision and oversees its blend of service offerings. Dave’s primary objective is to continue building upon a strong, experienced and committed team that has earned its reputation as a best-in-class provider. Dave’s 20+ years of experience in the eDiscovery industry include executive positions at DTI, EED and Daticon. Prior to joining QDiscovery, Dave served on the senior leadership team at DTI where he directed a team of Managing Partners, Sales Executives and service delivery teams.
Matt McCormack founded QDiscovery in 2012 and has led the company to a position of industry leadership. Matt has dedicated his 20+ year career to litigation support and ediscovery, holding positions in everything from operations to project management, business development and executive leadership. Matt currently focuses the majority of his time developing client relationships and also mentoring QDiscovery’s employees. His passionate belief in the company’s culture drives the enthusiasm and dedication to excellence in every person in our organization.
Donna Epes oversees a project management team of highly experienced ediscovery professionals. Donna has worked in management positions at both law firms and ediscovery service providers, giving her a unique perspective in understanding the technology that drives litigation matters as well as a firm understanding of what the customer truly needs. Donna’s 20+ years of experience include project management, database and process management and trial support. Donna is certified in several ediscovery platforms and holds a paralegal certification through the University of Connecticut. Donna's education also includes degrees in Computer Science and Management Information Systems.
Jim Norman is a founding partner of QDiscovery and offers two decades of experience in the legal technology field. He is responsible for the company’s business development and consulting teams. Jim has a wide-range of experience supporting managed services contracts as well as cases involving mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, securities, environmental law, patent infringement and product liability for AMLAW 100 Firms and Fortune 500 legal departments. Prior to QDiscovery, Jim spent nine years as Director of Ediscovery for Barnes & Thornburg and also served on the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana eDiscovery advisory committees.
Deb Tristan leads the 24/7 Operations Department at QDiscovery, with overall responsibility for managing and prioritizing client data processing, productions and other operational tasks. Deb’s primary goal is meet all client requirements on time and on budget. Her many outstanding work flow solutions include a world class Quality Assurance program, chain of custody process and a detailed Defensibility Binder for every project. Deb ensures optimum productivity, quality and compliance with client driven deadlines. She has spent her entire career in litigation support and ediscovery, bringing 20+ years of experience to QDiscovery.
Don Elliott leads the IT organization at QDiscovery with responsibility for all aspects of technology and associated service delivery to our clients. He architects and executes on the QDiscovery data center strategy, manages the company’s IT needs nationwide, and leads the security and compliance functions. Don is a founding partner at QDiscovery and a 20+ year veteran in information technology. In addition to his years of experience in the ediscovery field, Don has also held positions in technology driven start-up companies and proudly served in the United States Navy, where he was an instructor and operator in Nuclear Engineering.
Yaniv Schiff leads QDiscovery’s digital forensic investigative and technical consulting services and is also the lead testifying expert for most digital forensics cases involving trade secret theft, high profile investigations, and matters involving spoliation. Yaniv has facilitated and overseen collection projects involving hundreds of devices and geographically dispersed custodians and has testified in local, state and federal courts and has been qualified as an expert witness in several states. He is credentialed as a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) and is a current member of High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA). Yaniv has served as an adjunct professor at Loyola University where he instructed students in the field of computer forensics.
In addition to her responsibilities as QDiscovery’s General Counsel, Helen provides consulting services to the company’s clients on all aspects of electronic discovery and courtroom technology. Prior to joining QDiscovery, Helen practiced law in the intellectual property litigation department of the Indianapolis office of Barnes and Thornburg. She graduated summa cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago and earned her bachelor’s degree in physics from Drew University. She is a member of the bar of the State of Indiana and the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and a registered patent attorney.
As Director of Marketing, Tricia Johnson leads marketing strategy and execution for QDiscovery. Throughout her 20-year career, she has successfully managed marketing for growing companies, including marketing strategy, branding and development of integrated marketing programs to support sales growth. Tricia brings a deep understanding of marketing derived from her experience both in corporate marketing and in advertising agency environments working with a wide range of industries and distribution channels. Tricia holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Marketing from DePaul University.
Brett Crist has over 20 years of experience working with attorneys and paralegals, advising them on strategy and best practices to handle their ediscovery and trial needs. Brett is responsible for developing and enhancing business relationships with existing and new clients. He was the Founder and CEO of Preferred Imaging for 14 years prior to merging with QDiscovery. Prior to that, Brett held positions in business development and technology management for ImageMax and CMG Worldwide, Inc.
As Regional Director at QDiscovery, Brian is responsible for the company’s strategic business development in the Midwest. He has significant experience assisting law firms and corporations on a range of complex litigation matters, including those with cross-border discovery. Prior to joining QDiscovery, Brian has spent a decade in the industry, managing eDiscovery teams in Chicago and servicing clients throughout the US.
