What personal information does QDiscovery collect?

Personal information is information that can be used to identify or contact a specific individual, such as a name, address, telephone number, or email address. QDiscovery may collect certain personal information from customers, business partners, employees, and candidates for employment. QDiscovery does not collect personal information when you visit the website unless you choose to provide such personal information.

On the QDiscovery website you can request information, subscribe to marketing or support materials, or apply for jobs at QDiscovery. The types of personal information you provide to us on these pages may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, company, title, employment background, job interest data, and benefit choices.

With whom does QDiscovery share personal information?

QDiscovery may contract with third-party service providers and suppliers to deliver marketing material, complete products, and deliver services and customer solutions. QDiscovery may share personal information with its service providers and suppliers for the sole purpose and only to the extent needed to support the clients’ business needs. Service providers and suppliers are required to keep confidential the personal information received from QDiscovery and may not use it or any purpose other than as originally intended.

We may also share your information with a partner who can assist with your request for information if QDiscovery does not have representation in your area. The partner may use these details to contact you about the services that they may offer as well as other QDiscovery services that you may be interested in. If you do not want to receive information from our distributors or partners, you may opt out by following the procedures set forth in the Choice/Opt-Out Section of this policy.

Third parties receiving personal information are expected to apply the same level of privacy protection as contained in this Privacy Statement.

Except as provided above, QDiscovery will not share personal information with any other third parties without your permission, unless required by, or in connection with, law enforcement action, subpoena or other litigation, or applicable law.

QDiscovery will not sell, trade, or lease your personal information to others.

Choice and opt-out

QDiscovery does not require that you provide us with personal information. The decision to provide personal information is voluntary; however, if you do not wish to provide the personal information requested, you may not be able to proceed with the activity or receive the benefit for which the personal information is being requested.

If you would like to remove your information from our database or not receive future communications, or you wish to change or modify information previously provided, please contact us at mmccormack@qdiscovery.com. Upon receipt of your request, your information will be removed or updated within ten (10) business days of receipt of your request.

Security of personal information

QDiscovery is committed to taking reasonable efforts to secure the personal data you choose to provide us. To protect the privacy of any personal information you may have provided, QDiscovery employs industry-standard controls including physical access controls, internet firewalls, intrusion detection, and network monitoring. In addition, access to sensitive data as defined in this Statement is limited to those individuals and agents having a need to know.

Other information/logging and cookies

QDiscovery collects and/or logs internet protocol (IP) addresses, internet domain names, the web browser and operating system used to access the website, the files visited, the time spent in each file, and the time and date of each visit.

QDiscovery also uses cookies on some of its websites. Cookies are identifiers that can be sent from a website via your browser to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Thereafter, when you visit a website, a message is sent back to the web server by the browser accessing the website. This Privacy Statement does not cover the personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties.
